SCENE BREAKDOWN

An exercise in sustainable design, this ambient occlusion rendering is work in progress of an apartment structure that would employ both traditional solar cells on the roof that are programmed to track with the sun, together with Konarka's flexible Power Plastic on the  curved balcony solar cells, and Aerotecture's revolutionary DNA wind turbines. There is water reclamation on the rooftop and roof gardens to provide additional insulation and local food supply. Each apartment would also have individual garden plots with which to grow fresh vegetables and other plants, and the apartment's internal air filtration system will not only clean air inside for residents, but release that air outside as well, reducing pollution for the entire neighborhood.
