SCENE BREAKDOWN
Inspired by the Miho Museum, a Japanese art gallery 20 miles southeast of Kyoto that lies in a picturesque nature preserve of the Shiga prefecture. Designed by I.M. Pei, I was inspired by the simplicity of it, the natural beauty, and the use of warm marbles. The modeling was composited with background video of the Pfalzische Forest that is behind my home in Germany, and was one of my first efforts with the new incarnation of Softimage's software, XSI (formerly called "Sumatra" when beta-tested at Mesmer).
