SCENE BREAKDOWN

In this scene there's a monocycle with displacement texturing, where the character would actually sit inside the wheelwell. The original concept arose out of combining two unrelated industrial parts from an old factory. The robot body was inspired by a gig poster for Zero 7 at the Showbox in Seattle, the robot's face is inspired by the dragonfly character Evinrude in the Disney movie "The Rescuers" (which I was absolutely obsessed with as a child), and the makeshift shelter behind the robot originated at Burning Man in a series of structures created solely out of balsa wood.
