Association of Computing Machinery - Organization devoted to promoting research, education, and professional development in Advanced Computing Science.

SIGGRAPH - Special Interest Group on Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques. Members include researchers, developers, and users from the technical, academic, business, and artistic communities. Publishes Computer Graphics Quarterly, and hosts annual conferences designed to increase member knowledge of computer graphics visualization, design, and research advances.

The Planetary Society - Founded in 1980 by Carl Sagan, Bruce Murray, & Louis Friedman to inspire and involve the world's public in space exploration through advocacy, projects, and education. Members seek to share, in the words of Bill Nye, "the discovery of new things, the mysteries of science, the innovations of technology, the bravery of astronauts, and the stunning images of other worlds."
